Muddy Waters was one of the forefathers of electric blues having inspired the likes of Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, Keith Richards, myself, and fellow rock and roll pioneer, Chuck Berry. The sound Muddy gets out of the guitar still sounds as gruff and dirty as the day it was recorded. Because of the timeless nature of the song, and it’s extreme importance to the world of popular music, it is today’s SOTD.
